Guardian Home Program
What is a Guardian Home?
Here at Mazikeen Shepherds we believe that every dog deserves to grow up in a loving and permanent home. What being a guardian home entails is taking on one of our breeding males or females to offer them a home while they stay in our program.
We will let our puppy grow up with you as a family while we use them up to 4 litters or the age of 5 for females and up to the age of 6 for males. Mazikeen Shepherds will retain ALL rights to the dog. We reserve the right to cancel our guardianship program at any time if we deem it necessary. Once retired, he/she will be neutered/spayed at our expense and will get to retire with you!
If you are a guardian for a female you will be compensated $50/pup or $300/litter(your choice) once her puppies go home. You are more than welcome to come visit while she is here and for a playdate with the puppies!
If you are a guardian for a male you will be compensated $100 per successful litter.
As a guardian home you will be required to pay for everyday expenses of owning a dog including exams, vaccines, food ect. We will pay for all breeding related costs including health testing, xrays, ect.
Requirements of a Guardian Home
Not everyone can be a Guardian home. You have to be willing and able to follow our requirements:
-Experience raising a puppy/german shepherd.
-Must teach basic obedience and socialize the dog.
-Dog must never be left unattended outside.
-Any other dogs in the house must be fixed if opposite sex.
-Willing to let us(the breeder) visit your home.
-Contact us immediately for any event of sickness or emergencies.
-Send copies of all vet records.
-Be able to drop your dog off to us for a certain amount of time to be bred and for whelping.
